Please note that we have very limited exam places at our Open Centres and dates fill up very quickly.

Examination Times

09:30 - 10:15    M_o_R Foundation

Once you have completed the application form, please email or fax the form to us with your credit card details, or post it with a cheque. Please note that no new bookings will be accepted within 2 working days of the date of the advertised examinations. Applications received after this time will not be processed

Please note that our exam dates fill up very quickly. We keep all information on this page as current as possible but please understand that we cannot guarantee availability for a certain date. If you submit a booking form for a date that has become full, our Service Desk will contact you to discuss the options.

M_o_R Exam Fees

Foundation Exam: = £185 (inc. VAT)
Practitioner Exam: = £340 (inc. VAT)
Practitioner Re-Registration: = £145 (inc. VAT)

IMPORTANT: If you are booking the Practitioner Examination, your case study reading material will be sent to you when your booking is confirmed. Please ensure you read the case study in preparation for your exam, and please bring it with you on the day.

Please note that from 29 September 2008 the M­_o_R Practitioner exam will be changing from an essay format to an Objective Testing format. Please state on your application form which format you would like to take the examination in. The essay based paper will not be available from 1 January 2009.

Terms and Conditions for Exam Bookings

  • APMG do not invoice public candidates. Payment must be made at time of booking. A VAT invoice will be sent approximately 4 – 6 weeks after the date of your examination
  • You must sit the Foundation Exam first before taking the Practitioner Exam. Failure to do so will invalidate both exams
  • You are allowed to reschedule the exam date once, at no cost, as long as the change is made a minimum of 10 working days (Monday to Friday including Bank Holidays) in advance of the booked exam date
  • If you reschedule the exam date a second time, an administration fee of £50 (plus VAT) will be charged. The fee will be payable via our online payment system
  • An administration fee of £50 (plus VAT) will also be charged if you cancel your exam outside the 10 working days (Monday to Friday including Bank Holidays) notice period. You must notify APMG in writing or email of your intention to cancel the exam booking. The administration fee will be deducted from the fee paid and the balance will be refunded to your credit card within 30 days of the cancellation
  • Your exam fee will not be refunded if you cancel your booking within 10 working days (Monday to Friday including Bank Holidays) of the booked exam date
  • Your exam fee will not be refunded if you wish to reschedule your booking within 10 working days (Monday to Friday including Bank Holidays) of the booked exam date. A further exam fee will be payable for a new exam booking
  • Valid Photo ID is required for this exam. You will not be allowed to attend the exam if you fail to bring this on the day of your examination 
  • This exam is non-transferable and can not be re-sold.

If you have a disability that will affect your performance in the exam, please contact us and we will be happy to discuss any special requirements.

On the Day of Your Exam

  • Please aim to arrive in good time for the examination - we would suggest at least 15 minutes before it is due to start
  • There are several time-slots allocated for each day. If you would like to specify a certain time of day for your exam(s), please state this in the space provided on the application form or on your covering email or letter
  • Please bring a PENCIL for writing your M_o_R Foundation and Practitioner exam
  • Please bring an ERASER should any mistakes be made when writing your M_o_R Foundation and Practitioner exam
  • No calculations will be necessary, so calculators are not required
  • The Practitioner exam is an 'open book' examination. Candidates may make use of Management of Risk: Guidance for Practitioners (the Management of Risk 'guide') published by TSO, together with the APMG guidance document ABC Consulting Ltd. Sample Risk Documents and Worked Examples of some of the Common Techniques. No other material other than the Question Booklet, the Scenario Booklet and the Answer Booklet can be used
  • Candidates may make use of Management of Risk: Guidance for Practitioners (the Management of Risk 'guide') published by TSO, together with the APMG guidance document ABC Consulting Ltd. Sample Risk Documents and Worked Examples of some of the Common Techniques. No other material other than the Question Booklet, the Scenario Booklet and the Answer Booklet can be used. No electronic media, eg: on a laptop, is permitted in the examination.

Important Message to All Candidates

If you are thinking of taking a training course we strongly recommend that any training you receive is through an Accredited Training Organisation (ATO).

Only ATOs and their affiliates have licences to offer training courses that incorporate official OGC trademarks, brands and copyright material.

These ATOs have been fully accredited by the APM Group, who are the official accreditor on behalf of the Office of Government Commerce (OGC). The accreditation process involves a rigorous assessment of the organisation's management systems, course materials and trainers, assuring the quality of training provided.

Organisations offering training who do not appear on the above list, or are not affiliated to an ATO, may be in breach of copyright law. Please do not support illegal use of copyright material.
