Foundation Examination - £120.00 (inc. VAT)

Application Details

Download the P3O Open Centre Application Form 2010. Once you have completed your application form, please email (servicedesk@apmg-uk.com) or fax (00 +44 (0)1494 459559) it to us with your credit card details, or post it with a cheque (If you are paying by cheque, the application will need to reach us at least 2 weeks prior to the exam date to allow for the chequepayment to be processed). Please note that no new bookings will be accepted a week prior to the date of the advertised examinations. Applications received after this time will not be processed.

Please note we cannot invoice you for any bookings, payment must be made at the time of application.

We strongly recommend that any training you receive prior to taking an exam is through an Accredited Training Organisation (ATO) who is authorised to offer the training. You can check if the training company is accredited via our Accredited Organisation Search.

Terms & Conditions

Once a booking is confirmed, please comply with the exam date. Please note the following apply to changes made to your exam booking:

  • APMG-UK do not invoice public candidates. Payment must be made at time of booking
  • You must sit the Foundation Exam first before taking the Practitioner Exam. Failure to do so will invalidate both exams.
  • You are allowed to reschedule the exam date once, at no cost, as long as the change is made a minimum of 10 working days (Monday to Friday including Bank Holidays) in advance of the booked exam date
  • If you reschedule the exam date a second time, an administration fee of £50 (plus VAT) will be charged
  • An administration fee of £51.50 (plus VAT) will also be charged if you cancel your exam outside the 10 working days (Monday to Friday including Bank Holidays) notice period. You must notify APMG-UK in writing or email of your intention to cancel the exam booking. The administration fee will be deducted from the fee paid and the balance will be refunded to your credit card within 30 days of the cancellation
  • Your exam fee will not be refunded if you cancel your booking within 10 working days (Monday to Friday including Bank Holidays) of the booked exam date
  • Your exam fee will not be refunded if you wish to reschedule your booking within 10 working days (Monday to Friday including Bank Holidays) of the booked exam date. A further exam fee will be payable for a new exam booking
  • You will need to bring your photo ID to the exam centre. Either a passport or driving license will suffice. If you do not bring this with you on the day you will not be able to sit the examination
  • This exam is non-transferable and can not be re-sold.

You will receive a formal receipt for any payment made 6 - 8 weeks after you sit the exams.

APMG has the right to invalidate the exam results without prior notice if the candidate has been found to receive unaccredited training.

Expectations of behaviour from open centre candidates

When attending an open examination centre, please ensure that you are polite and courteous to the venue staff, APMG-UK invigilator and other candidates. Please remember that there are several examination sessions throughout the day so should you arrive early, please check an examination is not in progress before entering the room and do not create excessive noise near the room in case this disrupts other candidates. You will be asked to leave the examination if your behaviour is abusive or disruptive.

If you have a disability that will affect your performance in the exam, please contact us and we will be happy to discuss any special requirements.

On the Day of Your Exam

  • You must arrive in good time - at least 30 minutes before the start time
  • You will need to bring your photo ID to the exam centre. Either a passport or driving license will suffice. If you do not bring this with you on the day you will not be able to sit the examination
  • Please bring a PENCIL for writing your your answers to the P3O Foundation exam. Please also bring an ERASER should any mistakes be made when writing your exam
  • No calculations will be necessary, so calculators are not required
  • For the Practitioner examination, your own annotated manual is permitted during the exam. No additional support material is permitted, this includes post it notes (other than tabulation of the sections of the manual), or stapled sheets
  • No late arrivals will be allowed into the exam room, all candidates are responsible for arriving at the exam on time and no excuses will be permitted. A further exam fee will be payable for a new exam booking if you are late.

Please note that the Milton Keynes venue is approximately 5 minutes drive (2 miles) from the 'Central' Train Station. Upon arrival please report to the reception located in Swallow House.
