Assessment Process

The assessment process will not start until a completed application form and full payment has been received. On receipt applicant organisations will be given a copy of APMG's PRINCE2® Quality Manual and access to an exclusive closed website for the training and consulting communities.

APMG will assess organisations' course material and administration and management procedures. You can either develop your own training material or licence material from another Accredited Training Organisation (ATO).

The following management and administration processes are also assessed as part of ATO Accreditation:

• Organisation management structure
• Organisation quality control system including management review, internal audit, appeals and complaints procedures 
• Course quality control system including delegate acceptance criteria
• Course enrolment system
• Pre-course documentation including joining instructions to pre-course reading material
• The system for organisation of the course venue including bookings, confirmation forms and procedures
• Names of proposed trainers (and CVs if applicable)
• Document control system
• Confidentiality waiver system
• Administration staff training and competence.

Following a review of both submitted course material and documentation showing the administration and management procedures, an assessor visit will be organised. The assessor will visit to review these procedures and speak to the administrator(s) in charge and also assess a new PRINCE2 trainer, where applicable. The PRINCE2 trainer assessment will take place in two stages -

1. Observation of the applicant presenting a number of PRINCE2 training sessions to students, as part of a live training course. This will be matched to the ATO material for those sessions and the PRINCE2 syllabus.
   
   
2. Conduct a private assessment of the applicant's understanding of PRINCE2 methodology and applicability, in particular of those areas not covered by the presentation sessions.
